Peace Day

Peace Day is the 30th of January because in 1948,on this day, Mahatma Gandhi was killed. Gandhi was born on the 2nd of October of 1869. He was a great fighter by peace. Peace Day is non violence. In my school on Peace Day we made peace doves. We will celebrate The Peace Day on the 31st of January.

PEACE DAY

Peace Day is celebrated on the 30th of January. There are a lot of events on this day to spread the peace all over the world. Peace Day is celebrated on the 30th of January because in 1948, on this day, Mahatma Gandhi was killed. And since 1964 on the 30th of January we celebrate the Peace and Non violence Day.

There was and there are a lot of people that they work by the peace on the world. We must work for this cause too.

The principal symbol of the peace is a white dove with a branch of an olive tree. Some children draw this symbol to decorate the school and to collaborate with this reason.


In my school we make a minute of silence in the Peace Day.

I think that this is a great day because we can think about all the things that we can do to improve this world so wrong, and we must remember all the people that was harmed by wars and terrorist assaults.

NO WARS AND PEACE ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!

Peace Day

The General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed September 21 as the International Day of Peace. But the Seminario Gallego de Educación proposed another date: January 30 for schools and institutes to conmemorate the dead of Mahtma Gandhi.

I think the word PEACE means to respect and understand the people who is simply different.

My town

My town is A Coruña. It is big and pretty. Coruña has got "the Hércules Tower" and a fish house. There is a science museum, museums, theatres, shopping centres, toy shops, parks, beaches, swimming pools, music shops, schools and English academies.
The beach is called Riazor and it is very beautiful. Coruña is near Santiago de Compostela.

I get up at 8:OO, I have my favourite breakfast and I am happy because it is toast and milk.I go to school and see my friends, my favourite friend is Noemi (my best friend).

My town

My town is called A Coruña. The weather is cold in the winter and somewhat sunny in the summer. It has got a monument from 2^nd century before Christ called The Hercules’ tower that was a Roman lighthouse.

The city is rounded by the sea. It has got a nice esplanade to walk near the sea and beaches to play and have bath in the summer. It has also got very beautiful gardens with a lot of trees from different types.

We have some shopping centers and sometimes we go there to the cinema and to have fun. There is also an aquarium with a lot of fishes.

The football team is called Deportivo de La Coruña, they play in the Spanish premium league.

The council is located in the center of the city inside a square called Plaza de Maria Pita, it has got an statue from Maria Pita that was a famous woman that defended the city.

MY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

At Xmas I had some presents: an Eye Pet, a Nintendo XL, some games for the Nintendo... but my favourite present is the Eye Pet.

Presents

This Christmas I got many things. The presents are divided in two parts: Father Xmas and the Three Kings.

Father Xmas is celebrated on the 25th of December. I got these things: a special MP3 to use when it´s ago sport, a present card of Game Stop, a bathrobe, the videogame Sonic Colours for Wii, the DVD of the movie The Plan of the serie Battlestar Galactica, a Xmas card and some money. I also got my two comics of the serie Zelda, but Ichanged them for two figures of Cylon of the serie Battlestar Galactica.

The Three Kings is celebrated on the 6^th of January. They brought me these things: three bed covers, a red blanket, three towels, the comic Los Simpson Futurama Crossover Crisis, the complet series of Battlestar Galactica on DVD, some money, four posters of Battlestar Galactica and two comics of the serie Zelda (the same comics of Father Xmas, what I changed for the book Lost Oficial Enciclopedy).

I love all the presents of Xmas, but my favourite presents are Battlestar Galactica on DVD.

I love Chritmas and the presents. This year Santa brought me: a Factory of Experiments (''Fabrica de experimentos''), a handbag and a bracelet. On the fifth of January, at night,the Three Kings brought me: a Lego, a pencil case, a laptop, a purple wristwatch and a camera.

Hi! I'm Raúl from 6 C . The 2nd of January I was at the "Diputación of Pontevedra" to see the FIFA world cup. You can touch it or kiss it but not pick it up.
