"Christmas in Spain" By Isaac 6A

There are many Xmas traditions in Spain. We decorate our houses with the typical stuff: trees, Nativity scenes ,etc. We've also got loads of carols. Our special food is shelllfish, turkey, marzipan, nougat candy(called turrón) & loads of other things. And on New Years Eve...we eat 12 grapes at 12:00 and,if you manage to finish them before the 12th bell rings, the next year you will have good luck (apparently. I nearly choked once). We get presents on Christmas Day and on the 6th of January, because that's the day when the 3 Wise Men gave presents to Jesus Christ.

Xmas in Spain (by Angel David 6ºB)

Hi, world:

There are lots of different Xmas traditions in Spain. We have parties, we dance and we eat special Xmas food, like turron (nougat candy), sea food and turkey. We decorate our houses with angels, stars and a Xmas tree. There are special Xmas songs, called carols. Children sing them in the school and in their houses. And the Three Kings bring us presents on the 6th of January.

Goodbye friends. See you in my next post.

Christmas 2012 in Spain" Sofia Liñares 6ºC "

I'll tell you how we celebrate Christmas in Spain.
In Spain, Christmas is different from other countries.
We celebrate Christmas Eve, December 24th. That day we meet with the family for dinner and we eat seafood and meat.
On December 25th we celebrate Christmas Day. It is the day when Santa Claus comes to bring gifts and we get up early to open presents and have lunch with our family.
We celebrate the last day of the year having dinner at home with our family. We ate seafood, meat and a delicious cake for dessert! Then, at twelve o'clock, we have to eat 12 grapes (one for each bell) for good luck in the coming year. Finally we dance and sing and have fun!
