BONFIRE NIGHT


Bonfire Night is also known as Guy Fawkes Night.

It is celebrated on November, 5th.

It takes place in England.

People make a bonfire and put a guy on top .The guy is made of straw and old clothes.

It is celebrated to remember the day that a man called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of Parliament ( The Gunpowder Plot 1605 ).

Typical food: jacked potatoes, roasted sausages, marshmallows, toffee apples, etc...

There are fireworks displays.

There is a very famous poem or rhyme.
