Jules Verne


Jules Verne was born in Nante in 1928. He was a French writer and he was considered the founder of modern science fiction literature.He predicted the technological avances of the twentieth century, as television, helicopters, submarines and spacecrafts.

He published "Five weeks in a globe" (1862), the novel that made him famous and then he continued writing novels with the same theme of adventure and fantasy.

He later wrote "Journey to the centre of the Earth", "From the Earth to the Moon", "Twenty thousand leagues under the sea", and many others.

He died in Amiens in 1905.
