Christmas in Perú

In this month Peruvians celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus. In the Peruvian Christmas the family reunite in a Christmas Eve dinner with very typical meals of this date. The traditional Peruvian home decoration is the Nativity scene and the Christmas tree. The crib is a tradition of many centuries , the original idea is credited to ST. Francisco de Asis. The Nativity sets consist of a rustic cottage inn where Jesus was born, and he is with his parents (Mary and Joseph). They are accompanied by a number of animals and the Magi. Some births are small and others large occupying most of a room at home where are built. The normal thing is to use wallpaper, now sells for sheets, and make them small hills or mountains and garnish with the animals. In the stable green straw is placed where you put the mystery, the child is placed just getting on 25 December. It is often decorated with Christmas lights.
