The  Egyptians lived near the River Nile .
The pharaoh was the most important person .
There were 3 grups of people .
-The rich : nobles , priests , scribes , ...
-Freemen : artisans , farmers , ...
-Slaves

The rich lived in palaces or big houses .
The poor lived in small houses made of mud .
They ate fruit , meat , vegetables and fish .
They drank beer .They made bread .
Boys went to school , but girls didnt .
They wrote on paper (papyrus) .
They made big pyramids .
They had birds and monkeys as pets .
They loved cats .
Men wore kilts and women wore dresses .
Both loved jewerly and makeup.
