THE  ANCIENT EGYPTIANS

The Egyptians lived near the river Nile. The pharaoh was the most important person.

There were 3 groups of people:

-The rich: nobles, priests, scribes,...

-Free man: artisans, farmers,...

-Slaves.

The rich lived in palaces  or big houses. The poor lived in small houses made of mud.

They ate fruit , meat , vegetables and fish . They drank beer . They made bread . 

Boys went to school , but girls didn´t . They wrote on paper(papyrus).

They made big pyramids . They had birds and monkeys as pets.They loved cats . 

Men wore kilts and women wore dresses . Both loved jewelry and makeup.
