"The Egyptians" by Iria Teijeiro 6C

The Egyptians lived near the river Nile.
The pharaoh was the most important person.
There were 3 groups of people:
- The rich: nobles, priests,scribes,...
- Freeman: artisans, farmers,...
- Slaves
The rich lived in palaces or big houses. The poor lived in small houses made of mud.
The ate fruit, meat, vegetables and fish. They drank beer.
They made bread.
Boys went to school, but girls didn´t. They wrote on paper (papyrus).
They made big pyramids. They had birds and monkeys as pets. They loved cats.
Men wore kilts and women wore dresses. Both loved jewellry and makeup.
