The Egyptians by David Pérez Valladares 6ºC

                                               THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS

The Egyptians lived near the river Nile.
The pharaoh was the most important person. An example of pharaoh was Tutankamon.
There were 3 groups of people:
- The rich: nobles, priests, scribes...
- The freemen: artisans, farmers...
- The slaves.

The rich lived in palaces or big houses. The poor lived in small houses made of mud.
They ate fruit, meat, vegetables and fish. They drank beer. They made bread.
Boys went to school, but girls didn't. They wrote on paper (papyrus).
They made big pyramids. Examples: Keops pyramids and Giza pyramids. They had birds and monkeys as pets. They loved cats.
The men wore kilts and women wore dresses. Both loved jewellry and makeup.
